  Donor Scholarships

Altrusa Club Scholarship 

The scholarship recipient must be a sophomore, junior or senior and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Must be a U.S. citizen/affidavit and maybe a resident or non-resident student and may be enrolled full or part-time. Academic performance and financial need will also be determining factors. Preference will be given to single parents with dependent children. No preference is given based on gender/sex. Applicants must be able to meet with the Altrusa Club to update donors on how their gifts have made an impact on the lives of those they've touched. Uses: tuition, fees, and books only. 

In order to be considered for this scholarship, please upload a 500-word essay outlining how this scholarship would impact you and help you to accomplish your academic goals. 

Elizabeth Marie Keseling Hart Memorial Scholarship 

The scholarship recipient must be accepted into the Goddard School of Business & Economics, a U.S. Citizen/affidavit, have an overall GPA of 2.0 or better, and demonstrate financial need. May be enrolled full or part-time. Preference will be given to single parents and survivors of intimate partner violence. No preference is given based on gender/sex. Uses: tuition and fees only. 

In order to be considered for this scholarship, please upload a 300-word essay addressing the obstacles you have overcome and your desire to study business at Weber State. 

Jane Breen Holmes Scholarship 

The scholarship recipient must be a U.S. Citizen, a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The recipient will demonstrate through the application that they have clear academic and career goals and are focused on obtaining a degree that will provide an immediately marketable skill that is in high demand. Preference will be given to single parents with dependent-age children who have participated in the Women's Center. No preference is given based on gender/sex. Uses: tuition, fees, books, or other educational expenses.

In order to be considered for this scholarship, please upload a 500-word essay showing that you have clear academic and career goals and that you are focused on obtaining a degree that will provide a marketable skill that is in high demand.

Joe Ann Charest Legacy Scholarship 

The scholarship recipient must be a U.S. citizen/affidavit, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, be enrolled full or part-time, and must have demonstrated involvement in the WSU’s Women’s Center. Preference may be given to students with unmet financial need. No preference is given based on gender/sex. Uses: tuition, fees, or other educational expenses including childcare costs and co-curricular or extracurricular learning opportunities.

No letter of need/essay is required.

Oh, Yes I Can! Scholarship 

The scholarship recipient must be a U.S. citizen/affidavit, have a minimum GPA of 2.0, be enrolled full or part-time, exhibit a financial need, and must have demonstrated involvement in the WSU’s Women’s Center and/or Nontraditional Student Center. No preference is given based on gender/sex. Uses: tuition, fees, or other educational expenses. If scholarship award amounts, when combined with other resources of scholarships and financial aid, exceed tuition and fees, the student may receive a residual disbursement for the remainder of the award. 

No letter of need/essay is required.

Jean Anne Waterstradt Scholarship 

The scholarship recipient must be a U.S. citizen/affidavit, a full-time, junior or senior student, age 25 or older, with a declared major, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, be a resident of Weber, Box Elder, or Morgan County, and provide documentation of financial need. No preference is given based on gender/sex. Excluded majors are business, physical education, nursing, or student-athletes. The recipient must not be receiving any other scholarships for the academic year of the award. Uses: tuition and fees (class and department fees are not included).

In order to be considered for this scholarship, please upload a 500-word letter of need addressing your commitment to education through clear academic goals and your plans for seeking employment to achieve your career of choice.

Sue Westenkow/Women in Business Scholarship 

The scholarship recipient must be a junior or senior level student with financial need and a 3.0 GPA or higher who is a Utah resident and U.S. Citizen/affidavit and attending full or part-time. Recipients should be willing to speak briefly at the Women in Business meeting and be mentioned in the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce newsletter. Uses: tuition, fees, and books. 

In order to be considered for this scholarship, you must upload a 500-word essay demonstrating community service by answering the following questions: Have you performed or been involved with community service? Describe your meaningful experiences by identifying projects and the length of time you have been involved with your community through service. 

Women to Women Foundation Scholarship 

The scholarship recipient must be a single parent with financial need and a U.S. Citizen/affidavit. Preference is given to single custodial parents, continuing students, and to students majoring in a technical degree field (a direct "School to Career" path), with a Weber State GPA of 2.5 or higher. No preference is given based on gender/sex. Uses: tuitions, fees, books, childcare, and other educational expenses.
