Your student is starting college, and if you’re wondering what to do now, you’re not alone. We have various options available for you to get more information about Weber State University and how to best support your Wildcat.

Options for Parent & Supporter Orientation: 

• ‌ Attend one of our Wildcat Supporter Orientation events that run concurrently with the students' Weber Welcome events, so you can all come to campus together. Please look over the dates found in our sign-up form. 
• ‌  Review the guest version of New Student Online Orientation so you can see everything your student will be learning while they go through orientation. The guest version is available in English and Spanish for your convenience. Please note that your student will not fulfill the orientation requirement if they go through the guest version, they must be logged into their eWeber account to view and fulfill the orientation requirement.  
• ‌  Review the campus resources, frequently asked questions and student resources on this page.

• Safe@Weber

  To help create a safe campus for all. 

  WSU takes the safety and well-being of all individuals on its campuses seriously. Safe@Weber provides access to resources to help you deal with a variety of safety and emergency issues. Please use these resources and reach out if you or someone you know needs help. Support includes Weber State Police, Title IX, victim/survivor advocacy services, healthy relationships education, and more. We expect all students to complete the online Safe@Weber training.

• Housing

  To view where your student is living

  Living on campus offers convenience, safety and community. There are two types of resident halls: community style where students share a suite, and apartment living style where student shave a private bedroom and semi-private bathroom, kitchen and living room. One of the ways Housing & Residence Life offers community is through Living Learning Communities (LLCs). LLCs are where students are grouped with others who have similar interests to encourage new friendships and belonging. LLCs include esports, first-year experience, outdoor adventure and the Latter Day Saint student association. If students don’t want to be part of an LLC, there are still tons of opportunities for engaging with other students and finding belonging while living on campus.   We hope this presentation taught you the ins and outs of WSU's Academics. Beyond that, Academic Advisors assist students one-on-one after they have completed their Orientation. Find your student's advisor. 

• Student Scholarships

  Success shouldn't be tied to finances

  Alumni Legacy Nonresident Scholarship

  Did you earn a degree from WSU and are a parent or grandparent? If so, your student can now attend Weber State University and the nonresident portion of tuition will be waived. Have them follow their parents' or grandparents' footsteps and become a Wildcat! 

  Dream Weber Program

  The Dream Weber program began in 2010 to provide free tuition to students whose annual household income was $25,000 or less. Now, the Dream Weber program provides free tuition and general student fees to students whose annual household income is $50,000 or less.
  
  How is this possible? The Dream Weber program uses a combination of federal and state financial aid and money given to the university from generous donors. The purpose of the Dream Weber program is to help your student complete a college degree — which will improve earning potential throughout your student's life.

  Weber State Scholarships Application  

  Weber State Scholarships Application is a tool that allows students to apply for on-campus and national scholarships through one easy-to-complete application. Students can find this tool in their eWeber Portal by searching “Financial Aid and Scholarships” and clicking on the “Specialized Scholarship Application" link in the app.
