Our mission is to be regarded as the campus experts on quality course design by collaborating with faculty on research-based design principles, with the aim to support Weber’s mission of improving student success. We empower faculty to create quality course materials by providing access to eLearning tools, including learning management systems and digital tutoring platforms. Weber State University's learning management system is Canvas. We support faculty and students who use these tools so they have a seamless digital educational experience. We are part of the Division of Online and Continuing Education and are located in the Digital District in Lampros Hall. Meet our team!

Instructional Design

The Instructional Design (ID) team is an interdisciplinary group of education professionals dedicated to pedagogy, emerging technologies, and the practice of teaching. We collaborate with faculty to design engaging course materials and effective course structures.

The LMS Administration Team oversees the management and maintenance of the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and its integrated applications. We manage the integration between Banner and Canvas to create courses, assign faculty roles, and student enrollments.

The LMS Support team offers comprehensive assistance for faculty and students using the Learning Management System (LMS), providing both Level 1 and Level 2 (L1 & L2) Canvas support. We troubleshoot issues related to course functionality, access, and accessibility, ensuring a smooth user experience.
