Why get a Master of Professional Communication degree?

Master of Professional Communication: Admission Requirements
 

The admission committee evaluates applicants on an individual basis. Ideal applicants have a strong academic record, positive letters of recommendation and professional accomplishments. We aim for a class of working professionals with various backgrounds in for-profit, government or non-profit organizations. The Master of Professional Communication (MPC) program has limited enrollment.

Application Deadline: July 1, 2024 for fall 2024

Application Requirements

  • Current resume
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA 
  • Official transcripts from every institution of higher education attended
  • Three letters of recommendation (academic or professional)
  • Two essay questions on the online application
  • $60 application fee ($95 for international applicants)

International Students

  • TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based)
  • An equivalent IELTS score
  • TOEFL or IELTS score must not be older than two years

Transferring Credit Hours

  • The program director must approve transfer credits
  • Students may not transfer more than 12 hours of credit
  • Transfer classes must be at an appropriate level and fulfill MPC objectives
  • Credits of required courses for another degree cannot be used toward the MPC degree
