NEW The Utah Office of Energy Development (OED) is excited to announce their Fall 2024 Energy Pathways Internship
- Applications open on Monday, July 1, 2024. Energy Pathways interns are part of the State Energy Program (SEP) team, assisting in advancing energy initiatives throughout the state of Utah via education, collaboration, research, and outreach.
- This position offers compensation at $15 per hour, working 20 hours a week for 12 weeks. Hybrid-Telework options are available.
- OED’s mission is to advance Utah’s energy and mineral economy to ensure affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy for Utahns in support of the Governor’s vision for energy in the state.

● Conducting data analysis and create data visualizations in R
● Assisting in designing and programming surveys
● Pulling together topline results from recent polling
● Creating and editing research presentations for client projects
● Looking at crosstabs of data, digging into survey and MicroTargeting data to find insights
● Researching and learning about new software that can make our jobs more efficient and what we deliver to our clients more effective
● Writing memos based on survey and focus group results
● Attending weekly project meetings, and client meetings as necessary
● Operational responsibilities – putting together notes or quick research
● Previous experience with statistical analysis or computer programming in one or more of the following programs and is interested in challenging themselves with learning further skills in: SPSS, STATA, Tableau, R, SAS, Python. Bonus if you have competencies in R
