Studio 76
Studio 76 is a student-led, high-impact, hands-on, cooperative media production experience. Students sharpen their mass communication and production skills while producing high-quality media artifacts using industry standard equipment and software, all of which can be used in portfolios and on the job hunt.
Studio 76 provides opportunities for direct experience with the production process, both on the operations and creative sides: leadership, project management, writing, audio and video production, podcasting, live event production, television and film production, web publication and much more.
Students can enroll in one, two, or three credit hours, which determines workload. Students are part of a dynamic production environment that relies heavily upon active participation. Reliability in class, in meetings and on set are major factors to success.
Any student designated as executive, staff, or on scholarship must be enrolled in the course and attend a separate weekly staff meeting.

Studio 76 Goals
- Develop and build the technical production skills necessary to create compelling fiction, nonfiction, or abstract narratives in various digital media forms.
- Provide high-impact, real-world experience working with others in a dynamic, collaborative and deadline-driven environment.
- Provide production development, writing, scripting, shooting, editing and publication experience, along with other functions integral to the success of a multimedia organization.
- Better understand the ever-evolving multimedia nature of today’s content-driven mass communication landscape.
Rental Spaces
Studio 76 manages four rental spaces. Spaces are available during Stewart Library hours only.
Equipment Rentals
Production equipment rental is limited only to those in eligible communications/digital media production classes and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We use Stewart Library's Koha system for checkout.
If you’ve never used this system before, visit the library front desk staff to get you set up. You can reserve audio equipment, or accessories by emailing Studio76@weber.edu.
Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance or they will not be honored. You are required to adhere to the equipment policies and procedures shared by the Studio 76 executives and equipment managers.
Equipment Room Hours
Equipment room hours change each semester based on needs and availability. Specific hours will be set after the semester starts.
