Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jessica Miller of the Salt Lake Tribune will speak to the Investigative Journalism class at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13 in Elizabeth Hall 314. Miller's work includes stories on how BYU used the honor code against sexual assault victims and how camps for troubled teens abused their charges. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Rethinking the Luddites in the Age of AI
Brian Merchant, tech author and journalist, will give this address on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at noon in the Noorda Engineering Building, rooms 305-307. Merchant's book "The One Device" is a definitive history of the iPhone, and his most recent book, "Blood in the Machine: The Origins of the Rebellion Against Big Tech" explores how AI could change human life. Presented by our friends in the College of Computer Science.

The Weber State Debate team is on a roll with strong showings in the University of Minnesota College Debate Invitational and the Texas Open. Special congratulations to Lency Umwiza who took home 1st Place overall in the Community category in Minneapolis and to Gabe Parkin for winning 8th Speaker in the JV division at in Austin. Go Cats!
