Local bands Snarlin' Yarns, Dirty Hands, Sage Lane, Sunny Day Soap Opera, and Compass Rose played, and more than a dozen student groups were in attendance. Shoutout to the KWCR students for making the event a success in spite of a winter weather warning!
Graduation Edition
The signpost has published their final edition of the semester, covering
graduation and more. You can view it online or pick one up at your local
signpost kiosk.
Speech Team
Congratulations to our Speech Team who finished the season ranked 6th in the nation! An impressive accomplishment for a team only 3 years old. Kudos to the 11 students who worked so hard to get here!
Debate Team
In early March the Weber Debate Team hosted a district tournament on campus for schools participating in Community, Advocacy, and Research Debate (CARD). This debate format prioritizes in-depth topic research and presentation skills on topics prioritizing student advocacy. Five different district schools came to our campus for some awesome in-person debates. One of our very own Wildcats received 2nd speaker in the Analysis category of speaker awards.
Bon Voyage
Professor Nicole Defenbaugh will be leaving the Communication Department this summer semester. She has been with our department in Organizational Communication for two years and in that time has helped the program grow in the area of health communication, even coteaching a course with the Rehabilitation Services program. We wish her well in her new adventure.
