College Access & First Year Transition
Mission: To increase college participation and success for historically underrepresented and first-generated students, through partnerships with schools in our community. Working alongside students as they pursue and successfully complete post-secondary education, we provide targeted support and connections from the end of their senior year in high school through their first year at WSU.
Programs open to undocumented students/DACA:
State GEAR UP
A program designed to help students succeed in high school and successfully achieve college graduation. The program is offered free of charge to eligible students at Clearfield, Layton and Roy High Schools as well as ninth grade students at Central Davis, Mountain and Sand Ridge Junior High Schools.

Student 2 Student (S2S)
Student 2 Student is designed to increase participation in post-secondary education by providing college access resources and academic support services to underrepresented students from target high school in local school districts. Students will be encouraged through systematic guidance, support, mentoring and advocacy. Schools served include Ben Lomond High School, Bonneville High School, Clearfield High School, Layton High School, Northridge High School, Ogden High School, Roy High School and Syracuse High School.

Weber State University Latinos in Action Club
Mentor LIA High Schools students provide information for undocumented students: pay for college, WSU application process, scholarships for
undocumented, cost of tuition, etc.Latinos in Action Organization
LIA students are civically engaged young men and women who aspire to better their lives through education, leadership, professionalism and service. Through their service, they are role models and leaders in their communities. They are recognized scholars, mentors and trailblazers setting the example for future generations of Latinos.

Community Education Center
For anyone looking to earn a college degree. Our bilingual staff is dedicated to breaking down social barriers to education. Our goal is to help under-represented community members gain access to higher education.

Venture Course
A year-long, introductory humanities course that includes sections in literature, American history, art history, philosophy and writing/critical thinking. This program is for individuals who are low-income and have either a high school or a GED. The courses are credit/no credit-pass/no pass. The student must have no college experience. Upon completion of the program, the student can earn up to 10 elective credits.

Community Education Center
CCS immigration services include evaluating and providing assistance such as family reunification applications, extensions of stay, replacement of permanent residence cards, work permits, naturalization certificates, inquiries for status of cases, adjustment of status, acquisition of green cards, and translation and interpretation services, to individuals and families in the immigration process.
