What are the employment opportunities?
After completing the WSU Pre-Engineering program, you can transfer your credits to another university that offers the engineering degree, where you will complete the junior and senior years, with courses in a specific engineering discipline.
Engineering graduates are eligible to become registered professional engineers by a process of examination and documentation of work experience. Engineering graduates are prepared for employment in various capacities such as design, analysis, research, development, manufacturing and testing. Companies that hire engineers include: ATK, Boeing, Dow Chemical, Evans & Sutherland, Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, Microsoft, National Instruments, Raytheon, TRW and the United States Government
Some engineering graduates pursue graduate studies in engineering, business, medicine or law.

When you complete the Pre-Engineering program, you will have a solid base in the engineering fundamentals which fully prepares you to study all the mainstream engineering disciplines such as biomedical, civil, chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering.
In the Pre-Engineering program you will acquire a sound understanding of the physical sciences and mathematics that prepares you for the study of engineering, science, mathematics or law.
