From nursing to computer science, WSU to award thousands of degrees
OGDEN, Utah — Weber State University will award more than 2,400 degrees and certificates during its fall 2024 convocations Dec. 13.
The ceremonies will recognize graduates from this year’s summer and fall semesters, with the top five most-awarded degrees this round being nursing, computer science, diagnostic medical sonography, professional sales and criminal justice.
Among those graduating this semester are 19 students from the first cohort of Weber State’s Master of Physician Assistant Studies program.
“Graduation season is a reminder of how brilliant our students are, especially when we hear about the success they’re seeing after Weber State, what jobs and careers they’re being plugged into,” said WSU President Brad Mortensen. “We’ve watched them grow and shape our university for the better, and now we get to see them doing the same thing in the workforce and their communities.”
Each academic college holds individual convocations throughout the day, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Val A. Browning Center and the Dee Events Center. For exact times and locations, visit the commencement website.
Tickets are not required and parking is free, but seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Graduates who need special accommodations should contact Disability Services at 801-626-6413.
