Degrees and Programs

Prepare for a wide variety of careers with one of our foreign language bachelor’s degrees. Choose from a teaching or commercial emphasis, or dive into our Spanish translation major.

An associate’s degree will prepare you to further your education with a bachelor’s degree in your chosen language, or contribute your knowledge in a variety of respected career fields.

Language minors can complement a variety of majors, preparing you to work in fields such as international business, government, journalism, law enforcement, social work, the medical field or education.

A certificate of proficiency validates your competency in a foreign language and can give you advantages in job hunting as it provides employers with concrete evidence of your foreign language skills.

High school students can complete upper-division university language course work through the Bridge Program. Each 3-credit class extends over a full academic year of high school.
