Transferring Degrees

Weber State University accepts degrees from all regionally accredited institutions.

Transferring a Completed Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA)

Upon receipt of official transcripts, completed Bachelor Degrees will be noted on the WSU record. Individual courses covered by that degree are not added to the WSU academic record. Acceptance of individual courses for use in a post baccalaureate degree program is at the discrepancy of the Academic Department.

A completed Bachelor degree will complete Weber State University General Education Core and Breadth.

Students may be required to complete the American Institutions (AI) requirement in addition to their accepted Bachelor Degree.

Transferring a Completed Associate of Science or Associate of Art Degree (AA/AS)

Upon receipt of official transcripts, completed Associate of Art or Science degrees will be noted on the WSU record. Individual courses will also be added to the academic record.

Completed AA/AS degrees from Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) schools will complete all General Education requirements at WSU as long as all General Education requirements are met by completing the degree at the sending institution.

Out-of-state Associate of Art or Science degrees are evaluated and added per PPM 3.1.4.

The out of state associate degree must include evidence of six credits of college-level English coursework, 3 credits of college-level Math coursework, and 3 credits of college-level physical or life science coursework.

Transferring an Associate of Applied Science Degrees (AAS)

All AAS degree programs including those from out of state will be recognized. These degrees do not complete general education requirements.

General education requirements will be accepted on a course by course basis following departmental evaluation.

Transferring Certificates of Completion

Certificates of Completion of General Education are recognized from USHE schools only. This certificate will complete all general education requirements at Weber State.
