The court of Messina is transformed to the French Quarter of New Orleans, where, against the backdrop of Mardi Gras, a merry war of wits masks a landscape of guarded hearts and sharp-edged pride. In Shakespeare’s sparkling comedy, the cynics, Beatrice and Benedick, are perpetual sparring partners while the young lovers Claudio and Hero have their path to the altar sabotaged by the villainous Don John. A cruel deception threatens to ruin Hero’s reputation, as one couple is tricked into love and the other into scandal. Rich with brilliant wordplay and poignant vulnerability, Much Ado About Nothing remains a timeless celebration of love, delving into the power of gossip to destroy and the transformative grace of forgiveness to heal.

Merrily We Roll Along is a vibrant and emotionally rich musical that traces a lifelong friendship in reverse, set to one of Stephen Sondheim’s most dynamic and intricate scores. Moving backward in time, the story follows three artists as they navigate ambition, success, and the compromises that come with chasing their dreams. Blending sharp wit with deep poignancy, Merrily We Roll Along explores how choices shape our lives, and asks us to consider what we hold onto, what we let go of, and what it truly means to grow up.

Set in a small fishing village along the Amazon River, Marisela Treviño Orta’s The River Bride is a haunting fable. The play centers on two sisters, Helena and Belmira, whose lives are upended three days before Belmira’s wedding to Duarte. The arrival of Moises, a mysterious man fished from the river, ignites a complex web of repressed longings and long-held regrets. Lyrically rich with a nod to Brazilian Portuguese, the play weaves the boto legend into a story about the choices women make between duty and desire. The River Bride is a poignant exploration of love’s power to anchor us to the land or pull us into the river's embrace.
