Praxis

As of 2022, Praxis exams are not required for pre-service teachers with a teaching major. However, if you are in a post-baccalaureate program or you are seeking additional endorsements, you may take a Praxis exam to show competency. Please talk to your program advisor for further information!

Information

If you have confirmed with your program advisor that you need a Praxis test, you can find more information on exams at the Educational Testing Service (ETS) website.

WSU is an approved ETS testing center. You need to identify both WSU and USBE as test score recipients! To avoid delaying the licensure recommendation process, please include your social security number when registering for the exam.

All the Praxis study guides are available at the Circulation desk on the 1st floor of the Stewart Library (on Reserve).  If you are asked if it is for a specific class, just say Education.

After you have taken the test, you must go online to the ETS website to download your scores. Submit a pdf copy of your scores to tedadvising@weber.edu Be sure to save a copy on your computer for future reference. You can download your scores for no additional fee for the first 30 days after the scoring period.

Resources

Additional tools can be found with the individual test preparation materials you'll be given to review to help you prepare for the Praxis II test.
