Paraeducator Certificate Program
The Paraeducator Certification Program (PCP) is a one to six semester (18 credit) program designed for those seeking to become or increase their skills as a paraeducator. The program is offered at Weber State. Some tuition funding may be available for eligible students through Financial Aid. Students are able to earn the PCP as a standalone achievement or part of a continuous career plan leading to an associate degree and eventually a teaching license and bachelor’s degree. PCP combines evidence-based instructional practices with work-based learning opportunities to leverage theory and practice in a targeted training program that increases knowledge, skills, and application in classroom settings. PCP adheres to WSU and USBE Paraeducator Standards and Competencies. Courses may be available in online, blended, and traditional formats during the day and evening.
