TRIO Talent Search is a federally-funded program designed to help underrepresented youth who are low-income and first in their family to attend and graduate from college. In partnership with our schools, we work with over 500 students in the Ogden School District each year. All students within our target schools in grades 8-12 are welcome to apply. If we are full, we will add you to our waiting list. Although the ETS program is based locally at Weber State University, we help students who are interested in going to any college or university.

This program is designed to identify qualified youths with potential for education at the post-secondary level and to encourage such youths to complete high school and undertake a program of secondary education. This is achieved by informing students on the availability of financial assistance to pursue a program of post-secondary education and to encourage students who have not completed programs of education at the secondary or post-secondary level, but who have the ability to do so, to complete such programs.

“ Weber State University’s core themes of Access, Learning, and Community reflect our institutional commitment to provide the best educational, cultural, and economic opportunities to uplift our region and the community in which we live, work and play.
