The mission of SPARC is to inform and educate WSU students, faculty, staff and the local and statewide community in order to ensure the sustainability of our region and our world for future generations.
Weber State University's four sustainability organizations work together to foster sustainability in practice and in teaching and learning among faculty, staff, students, and the community. They work to make Weber a model in sustainability for all to follow.
Sustainability Practices and Research Center (SPARC)
Energy and Sustainability Office (ESO)
The Energy and Sustainability Office works hard every day to make Weber State University more vibrant, sustainable, energy efficient, and water wise.
Environmental Initiatives Committee (EIC)
Working in conjunction with SPARC, the Environmental Initiatives Committee facilitates the integration of environmental and sustainable initiatives into Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Facilities Management practices.
Environmental Ambassadors (EA)
Weber State University's student Environmental Ambassadors aim to build a campus culture where sustainability is integrated into every aspect of daily life; where recycling and energy efficiency are second-nature and living a green lifestyle is a central aspect of what it means to be a part of the WSU community.
