What To Bring To Your FAFSA Help Appointment
- Federal Student Aid ID: It may take up to 2 weeks to process. If you do not have one please create your FSA ID before attending.
- Everyone (both student and parent/guardian) will need an FSA ID for completing the FAFSA, including those who do not have a social security number. Please note that the person needing an FSA ID for a dependent is the person who contributes to the student 50% or more, not necessarily the guardian the student lives with.

Dependent or Independent
Your dependency status determines whose information you report when you complete your FAFSA.
-
If you’re a dependent student, you will report your and your parents’ information.
-
If you’re an independent student, you will report your own information (and, if you’re married, your spouse’s).
