Social Work

What can I do with a social work degree?

A social work degree teaches you to help people navigate complex relationships and complicated life events.

With your degree, you can become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and find careers in community organizations, nonprofits and government agencies, or you can go on to graduate studies.

Gerontology

What can I do with a gerontology minor?

A gerontology minor gives you an expertise in physical, psychological and social aspects of aging, along with skills to enhance lives of older people.

Graduates enter careers in the field of aging and have a greater understanding of issues they face as they grow older.

How to Apply

Assessment of Student Learning Outcomes

All Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) programs measure and report student learning outcomes. Students are assessed on their mastery of the competencies that comprise the CSWE accreditation standards. These competencies are dimensions of social work practice all social workers are expected to master during their professional training.
