What can I do with a gerontology minor?

A gerontology minor gives you an expertise in physical, psychological and social aspects of aging, along with skills to enhance lives of older people.

Graduates enter careers in the field of aging and have a greater understanding of issues they face as they grow older.

Weber State’s social work major accepts students after they’ve completed certain requirements. You can join our Bachelor of Integrated Studies or gerontology programs at any point during your WSU education.

How to Apply

Assessment of Student Learning Outcomes

All Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) programs measure and report student learning outcomes. Students are assessed on their mastery of the competencies that comprise the CSWE accreditation standards. These competencies are dimensions of social work practice all social workers are expected to master during their professional training.
