Phi Alpha Honor Society
The Phi Alpha Honor Society offers high-achieving Weber State social work students opportunities to create close bonds with their peers while promoting humanitarian goals and ideals.
Benefits
Eligibility
- Undergraduate and Graduate Students:
- Acceptance into the Social Work Program
- Rank in the top 35% of your class
- Completion of at least 9 credit hours of the required social work courses plus must have completed at least 37.5% of the required coursework toward the degree, and
- Attained at least an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and a 3.5 or above in your social work curriculum
- Attach a Current Transcript for the current semester
How to Join
Turn in your completed application, along with a copy of your transcript (unofficial is okay) to Dr. Velazquez in the Department of Social Work & Gerontology. Once your application is reviewed and you qualify, you will be sent a link to pay your one-time fee of $60 online.
Deadlines
- Fall graduates: Nov. 13 or four weeks prior to date of graduation
- Spring graduates: April 1 or four weeks prior to date of graduation
