Molly Painter
Exhibitions Manager
Molly Painter is the exhibitions manager for the Shaw Gallery and joined the team full time in July 2021 after working as an independent contractor for various exhibitions since 2015. Molly has a background in visual art and craft, and received her B.F.A. from the Oregon College of Art & Craft in 2004. She brings a variety of experience to her role at the Shaw Gallery, including her professional background as a studio assistant, set fabricator, art handler, art transporter and exhibition installation assistant. In 2013, Molly received her M.F.A. from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. Deeply inspired by the American West and natural history, her own artwork combines disparate media to create sculptural effects that mimic nature and yet hold very little in common with it. Molly recently moved to Utah from Los Angeles, and looks forward to exploring more of the intermountain west.
