SAS Departmental Goals
When some of the departments from the dissolved Student Affairs division merged with Enrollment Services to create Student Access & Success, elements from the Department Goals form used by Enrollment Services were combined with the Six-Column Model used by Student Affairs to create the SAS Department Goals instrument. Goals are tied to the SAS Learning Outcomes (based on the NACE Competencies) and allow areas to show how they contribute to student success, learning, and graduation.
Departmental Goal Process
Each year departments submit their goals for the current academic year in August and report results the following May. Each department also describes ways in which the results will be used and, together with the department's Annual Report, reflect on their practice and make steps to improve their services for students.
