Weber State University Students Excel at International Collegiate Sales Competition

ORLANDO – This year's International Collegiate Sales Competition (ICSC) brought together over 400 students from more than 80 universities across the United States and internationally to compete in the dynamic world of sales. Held in Orlando, Florida, the event featured a range of challenges including Speed Selling, Professional Selling Roleplays, and Sales Management competitions, showcasing the immense talent of the next generation of sales professionals.

Weber State University was represented by students Brooklyn Edwards and Enoch Fleming, who competed in the Professional Selling Roleplay category. Both students advanced past the first round and delivered stellar performances in the second round, securing Weber State a 21st-place ranking among fierce competition.

"ICSC was an amazing experience. I had been to NCSC the year prior and wondered how it would measure up. It did not disappoint!” Said Fleming, a Senior Professional Sales Major from Little Rock. “The competitions were executed so well, and you could see the time and dedication that faculty and staff put into it! My personal favorite was being able to network with other professionals throughout the competition. This will be the standard for competitions for years to come!"

Edwards, a junior Professional Sales Major from North Ogden, echoed his enthusiasm, adding, "Participating in the International Collegiate Sales Competition (ICSC) was an incredible opportunity that truly enriched my sales journey. I especially loved deepening my understanding of presenting, which is such a critical part of the sales process. Beyond the competition itself, the career fair was an invaluable experience, allowing me to connect with industry leaders and explore exciting opportunities for life after graduation. I’m so grateful for the chance to grow both personally and professionally through ICSC!"

The team's success is a testament to the dedication and guidance of Professor Tim Border, who coached the students in Orlando. Border praised the students' efforts and growth: "I am truly amazed at the level of sales mastery participants reach as they compete with the best of the best. When students transfer what they learn in the classrooms into the international competition and receive the coaching and mentoring in areas to improve, they become even more ready and confident to succeed in their future sales career."

ICSC not only provided a competitive platform but also offered a rich career fair and networking opportunities, helping students connect with industry leaders and prepare for the professional world. With a strong showing this year, Weber State University continues to demonstrate excellence in developing tomorrow's sales leaders.
