Internal SDR Sales Competition a Valuable Tool for Sales Students
OGDEN – Over 80 Professional Sales students competed in the internal sales competition on Thursday. The event, created to give students yet another real-world
perspective, was the first internal sales competition held during the fall semester. Students who competed and placed took home a $100 bookstore gift card for their winnings.

PSSA Students Continue to Rack Up Awards
PHOENIX – Current Professional Sales Student Association students placed at the 2023 Southwest Sports Combine, a sales competition held by Arizona State University. Casey Smith, a sophomore Professional Sales major from Farmington, took second place in the corporate sales portion of the event, earning $250. The event was Smith’s first major sales event that he competed in as a member of the PSSA.

Top Golf Networking Night Still a Hit
MIDVALE – Over 50 Professional Sales students attended the Top Golf Networking Night in Midvale, UT, and connected with 20 employers about future career opportunities. The event highlights some of the best Weber State students in the department, and connects them for employers who are on the hunt for new sales professionals.

Wildcats Win 2022 National Sales Challenge
NEW YORK CITY – Students from the Professional Sales Student Association (PSSA) did an outstanding job by winning the 2022 National Sales Challenge hosted by William Patterson University. NSC, one of the oldest national sales competitions in the country hosts teams and participants from some of the best sales departments in academia.

England Logistics Hosts Annual Sales Competition within the Department of Professional Sales
OGDEN – On Friday, 30 students in the Department of Professional Sales competed in the annual internal sales competition held each January. The 2022 England Logistics Sales Challenge, sponsored by the listed company, is one of the hallmark events for Weber State students, and gave them the chance to participate in real-life selling simulations and compete for thousands of dollars in cash prizes.

Inaugural MarketStar Sales Skill Challenge a Success for High School Students
OGDEN – Over 80 high school students across the Wasatch Front competed in the inaugural MarketStar Sales Skill Challenge on December 2-3. The event was held on campus and gave students the opportunity to compete in various sales competitions for cash awards and scholarships. The competition, sponsored by MarketStar and hosted by the Alan E. Hall Center for Sales Excellence, is the first of its kind in Utah, advancing the skills of high school students and promoting career and college readiness in the Tech Sales Pathway.

Wildcat students compete in the Marketstar Sales Analytics Competition
LOGAN – Students involved in the Professional Sales Student Association
competed in the 3rd annual Marketstar Sales Analytics Competition at Utah State University in Logan, UT. The competition held on October 8-9, challenged students from universities across the state in multiple sales competitions and events. The competition, sponsored by Marketstar gives students the opportunity to showcase their presentation and communication skills and get professional hands-on experience in the sales world.

Alan E. Hall Sales Center hosts Top Golf Networking Night for Capstone Students
MIDVALE – Capstone students from the Department of Professional Sales attended the Top Golf Networking Night at Top Golf, in Midvale, UT. The event, held on September 15th, gave over 50 Weber State students the opportunity to connect with employers and network for career opportunities both on a regional and national level. This was the first time since September of 2019, where students were able to attend this event and campaign for career opportunities.
