Army Physical Fitness Standards

For each standard, cadets must show they are able to complete a certain amount of repetitions (push-ups and sit-ups), or reach a certain finish time (2-mile run) to earn at least 60 points, the lowest passing grade.

Contracted cadets who do not earn 60 points will be placed in a remedial physical training program to help them pass. Non-contracted cadets may not become contracted and receive a stipend, scholarship and/or military commissioning, until they pass. Standards vary by age and sex.
