Supplier Portal Registration FAQs

Question: What is a “supplier”?
Answer:  Any individual, company, or organization that will receive a payment from Weber State University.  This includes payments on purchase orders, reimbursements, or non-PO related payments, such as honorariums and awards.

Question: What is the benefit of registering as a supplier at WSU?
Answer:  All payments are issued to registered entities at WSU.  The registration process allows you to provide required tax, diversity, insurance, and other information through a secure web site.  As a registered supplier, you can maintain the current information about you or your business.

Question: What does SciQuest do with the information I enter into my profile?  Will it be sold or used for any purpose not described in this registration process?
Answer: SciQuest securely saves your company's information in its database; only select SciQuest administrators and SciQuest customer procurement specialists have access to your information.  Your information will not be sold or used for any other purpose.

Question: What is “DBA”?
Answer: "Doing Business As".  A name under which a corporation conducts business that is not the legal name of the corporation as shown in its articles of incorporation.
Question: What is a NAICS Code?
Answer: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) classifies business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. economy. The NAICS industry codes define establishments based on the activities in which they are primarily engaged.
Question: What is a Diversity Classification?
Answer: A Diversity Classification is a form that confirms that your company is certified by the government to be a Diverse Supplier.
Question: Our Company’s Primary Contact is no longer with the company and I need to gain access to the portal – what do I do?
Answer: Submit a support ticket here:
Please include your company’s Tax ID Number.  SciQuest uses it to verify that you are with the company and to verify that they are editing the correct company profile.

Question: What if the supplier/payee forgets their password?
The supplier/payee should click on the “Trouble Logging in” link on the main page of the supplier portal.  An email with instructions on resetting your password will be sent.
Question: I have questions that this FAQ and the help "?" in the portal cannot answer - who can I contact?
