five dancers against a black backdrop

Are you an artist? A collaborator? Do you get excited about all of the ways in which the human body can move, or how dance connects with other disciplines of study?

If the answer to any of those questions is yes, you belong in Weber State University’s Dance Program!

Explore your interests in dance while enhancing your performance, choreographic and educational dance studies at WSU. Along your journey, you will have access to one-on-one student-instructor advising, undergraduate research funding and the space to develop skills to help you reach your professional and personal goals.

Our classes emphasize the importance of creativity, collaboration, teamwork, expression, critical thinking, self-discipline research and communication - all of which are skills sought after by employers. Student dancers use these competencies to share their expertise in movement and art with a broader community.

As a WSU Dance major, you will experience:

  • Introductions into the infinite applications of dance through hiighly engaged community partners in fields such as education, non-profits and health care.
  • Support and encouragement to conduct creative research throughout your undergraduate career.
