Democracy Curriculum

Our friends at Rock the Vote have some great resources you can check out, including a free, nonpartisan curriculum designed to educate high school students about the importance and history of voting and pre-registers and registers them to vote. You can request the curriculum on the Rock the Vote website.

Recordings

Weber State University collaborated with Keene State College to make possible the opportunity for Weber State students to see presidential campaign events live. Because presidential candidates rarely campaign in Utah, our students do not get the opportunity to see campaigning at the presidential level.

Keene State College is in New Hampshire and is therefore visited by every candidate running for office as it hosts the first presidential primary every four years. We virtually attend the campaign events by logging into a Zoom meeting. Sometimes our students even get to ask questions of the candidates! For example, we were able to talk to Elizabeth Warren in a small group setting. Video links of these visits are coming soon!
