2018-19 New Features

• New metal stairs
• Addition of a snowtel/ weather station

The Southern Idaho region is lacking in reliable weather and snow data. The WSU Campus Recreation Outdoor Program wants to put these resources at your finger tips in an effort to educate and keep our community making informed decisions. Data from the new weather station will be utilized in WSU class rooms and certification courses by the Utah Avalanche Center. The new weather station will help the US Forest Service in producing avalanche forecasts for the region and it will help our yurt guests as they plan and carry out their trips.
