Disc Golf
Rent Disc Golf Set from the Outdoor Program Rental Center
The new disk golf course at Weber State is open! The terrain is a little thick with underbrush in some areas so you may want to bring an extra disc. The course is open to all. Just show up and play!
The course is located southwest of Discovery Loop Trailhead. Park at the Discovery Loop Trailhead and take the pedestrian crosswalk west across Skyline Parkway. Head south to the Disc Golf Course sign on the right.
You can use Udisc to more easily navigate the course. Keeping scores does require a subscription.
Disc Golf Rules:
- Each hole begins at the tee. Subsequent throws are made from the place where the disc comes to rest (the lie).
- The objective is to have your disc resting inside the target’s basket or chains in the least amount of throws possible.
- The player who is furthest from the target throws first.
- All throws post tee-off must be released at the point of the player’s lie (except out of bounds).
- Throws that land out of bounds can be played 1 meter inside the last place the throw was in bounds. Run-up approach throws and jump putts are allowed outside of 10 meters from the target.
- The hole is complete once the disc is resting inside the target’s basket or chains.
Course Rules:
- Non-players and spectators have the right of way.
- NO “safari” style play. Be aware of your surroundings and throw responsibly.
- NO intentional altering of existing obstacles (tree limbs, bushes, etc).
- NO trespassing in designated areas (OB).
- NO alcoholic beverages allowed.
- NO smoking.
- NO littering. Pack OUT what you pack IN.
