Summer Climbing Camps
Join us in our fun, recreational program, introducing teens to the sport of climbing. Participants will be introduced to bouldering, top-roping, rappelling and will have the opportunity to climb both within our facility and outdoors!
Courses will meet once per week for a two-hour class over four consecutive weeks.
Climbing Camp - Ages 14 & 15
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about bouldering, top-roping, belaying and rappelling, including harness fit and figure-eight follow-through knots! Participants will also learn how to rappel safely and get to experience climbing on real rock.
Climbing Camp - Ages 16 to 18
The following clinics will be taught throughout the four-week course!
- Bouldering: Hold selection, route reading and movement
- Top Roping: Proper harness fit, figure-eight follow-through knots and top rope belay instruction
- Rappelling: Checking rappel gear, rappel commands and proper rappel technique both indoors and out
- Outdoor Climbing: Practicing the week's skills in an outdoor setting
