Congratulations on your acceptance to Weber State University, we are so happy to have you here.


Upon admission, New Student Orientation (NSO) is the next step in getting started as a Wildcat. All official communications about NSO will come through your Weber State student email. Remember to check your student email.

How to Access Your Student Email

NEXT STEPS:

Orientation includes Intro to Weber and an Advising & Registration Experience. Both are required* for all new, first-time, early college or degree-seeking undergraduate students before you can register for classes.

Step 1
Intro to Weber

To begin, you will go through four online video modules of New Student Orientation. These are self-paced and include everything you need to know about getting started at Weber State University, including:

  • ‌  Our programs and majors
  • ‌  Registering for classes
  • ‌  Paying tuition
  • ‌  Campus resources
  • ‌  Important policies and campus safety
  • ‌  Tips and tricks to being a successful student

Step 2
Advising & Registration Experiece

After completing Intro to Weber, you will register for an Advising & Registration Experience. We strongly encourage you to attend the in-person day if possible. The Advising & Registration Day will give you an opportunity to: 

  • ‌  Get connected with resources, staff, and other students
  • ‌  Tour the campus
  • ‌  Meet student leaders
  • ‌  Meet your academic advisor
  • ‌  Explore clubs and activities
  • ‌  Get your Wildcard and visit other departments

*New Student Orientation is not required for Concurrent Enrollment, Post-baccalaureate or Graduate Students

Other Orientation Requirements/Options:


International Students

International Students are required to complete:

  1. Intro to Weber
  2. International Student Orientation in place of a Weber Welcome Event

Transfer Students

Transfer students are required to complete the Intro to Weber.

Transfer student status is based on University Policy of 30 credits completed at another college or university. This includes former WSU students who have since attended a different institution. 

While transfer students are not required to attend an Advising & Registration Experience, it is highly encouraged

Early College Students

Early College students will complete Intro to Weber and then fulfill the Advising & Registration Experience portion of the requirement by meeting with their EC advisors

Parents & Supporters

Parent & Supporter Orientation is an optional resource for parents, family members and supporters to learn about campus resources available to your student.
