Biography

Steven Starks serves as the Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of the Larry H. Miller Company, leading the family investment firm overseeing the Miller family’s portfolio of businesses and investments. With a wealth of experience, Starks has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization's growth strategy, leading mergers and acquisitions, and overseeing its transformation. Previously, he held the position of president of the Utah Jazz and Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment, where he spearheaded the award-winning renovation of Vivint Arena and secured the 2023 NBA All-Star Game. 

Deeply committed to the community, Starks serves as the governor’s Olympic and Paralympic Advisor and leads Big League Utah, aiming to bring an MLB expansion team to Salt Lake City. He also serves on  the Zions Bank Advisory Board and has held notable positions such as chair of the Salt Lake Chamber Board of Directors and the Economic Development Corporation of Utah. Recognized for his outstanding leadership, Starks has been named Utah Business Magazine’s 2021 CEO of the Year and received the South Valley Chamber’s Titan Award. He was honored as a CEO to Watch by Family Business Magazine and named a Top Forty Under 40 Sports Executive by Sports Business Journal in 2018.
