About
Our nationally-recognized music program educates students by encouraging creativity, critical thinking and collaboration while honoring a wide range of musical traditions. State-of-the-art facilities, equipment, and technology provide the resources necessary for students to succeed academically and professionally.
The faculty are all performers, music educators, musicologists, conductors and composers who provide instruction and mentorship. Small class sizes allow students to interact and get to know their faculty on a personal level, helping them develop a community of mentors and advisors that will support them long after graduation.
Outside of the classroom, our program offers a variety of performance opportunities, including national and international travel. Students can gain valuable experience in one of our fourteen performance ensembles.
Weber State's Music program is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Our programs meet rigorous national standards of educational quality and institutional excellence. NASM membership signifies a commitment to optimum learning conditions for music students and a high quality of music programming in higher education.
Your degree in music will prepare you to compete and succeed in the fields of professional performance and teaching, as well as providing a foundation for further academic endeavors.
