Music Program
The study of music helps students develop their creativity and critical thinking skills while honoring a wide range of musical traditions. Music studies opens doorways to careers in performance, education, composition, musicology, ethnomusicology and other fields that value collaboration, discipline and innovation.
At Weber State, students receive individualized attention while gaining professional training in performance, pedagogy and technical skills. Distinct learning experiences help them grow as musicians, teachers and scholars while performing in world-class venues, composing original works and fostering connections with their communities.
MUSIC PROGRAM MISSION STATEMENT
The Music Program at Weber State University offers transformative educational experiences to music students of all identities and backgrounds. We foster student achievement, fairness and community relationships through our multiple degree pathways, experiential learning, and personal connection with our faculty, staff, and community.
