You will help improve the health of communities in Thailand and Cambodia, while gaining an understanding of the healthcare systems in those countries and developing your cultural competence.

Since this trip accepts students from Weber State’s nursing and respiratory therapy programs, you’ll also find opportunities for cross-disciplinary learning.

Global Health Practicum Details

You will gain an understanding of healthcare in Ghana, while comparing and contrasting it to the healthcare system in the United States. The trip includes tours of government hospitals, community hospitals and rural clinics.

You’ll also have opportunities to work in these environments as a healthcare provider, learning with local practitioners.
