Master of Science in Respiratory Therapy Concentrations

A Master of Science in Respiratory Therapy (MSRT) is a post-professional practice specialty that will allow you to secure advanced roles in respiratory therapy.

Weber State’s MSRT program offers three concentrations to fit your specific goals.

Health Administrative Services

In our health administrative services concentration, you’ll learn management and organizational skills for roles in hospital administration. Your undergraduate and past clinical experiences will give you an advantage in understanding advanced management practices.

Graduates go on to positions such as department director or department manager.

Education

Our education concentration offers skills in adult learning theory and technology, so you can enter a career where you’ll pass on your knowledge in an academic or clinical setting.

In an academic setting, you can work with respiratory therapy students as they prepare to enter their field.

In a clinical setting, you can help your team stay up-to-date on current research involving hospital practices, procedures and evidence-based practices.

Research

The medical field relies on implementing evidence-based practices.

This concentration will prepare you to design and develop research projects, from start to finish, including design, proposal, data collection, analysis and dissemination.

Students in this concentration design and develop a small research project as part of their capstone.

Graduates go on to careers as clinical researchers.
