Scholarship Opportunity for Online Students in New Hampshire and Vermont 
Medical Laboratory Sciences 

 

Employees at select hospitals in New Hampshire and Vermont may receive up to $1,250 per semester ($5,000 total) towards a degree or certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences. 

Qualifying programs include the MLA certificate course, MLT and MLS degree programs, and the post-bacc ASM-WSU Microbiology Technologist certificate program.

ready to start? steps for applying for RHC funding 


  • Apply to Weber State University for general admissions and the MLS certificate or degree program of choice. 
  • Submit completed RHC Scholarship applications to MLS advisor. RHC scholarship applications are due 14 days prior to the start of each semester.

As of November 2023, the Rural Health Careers Grant Program has helped to support the rural New Hampshire healthcare workforce with outreach, pipeline development, career growth and retention strategies, including:

  • 181 scholarships awarded to current rural healthcare workers to pursue education for career advancement
  • 224 people supported with training related expenses to enter or grow a career in healthcare
  • 45 career coaching sessions held this year to support career exploration and next steps planning
