Beyond the Classroom

As an electrical engineering major, you’ll gain practical experience in the industry through an internship. In addition, you’ll complete your education with a two-semester capstone project that integrates knowledge you’ve gained throughout your degree program.

What You’ll LEARN at Weber

You’ll learn to design and analyze electrical devices and systems, conduct experiments and tests, and use techniques, skills and engineering tools required for engineering practice.

Specific topics covered include digital circuits, analog circuits, signal processing, power systems, embedded systems, control systems, real-time systems, electromagnetics, microelectronics and communications.

In addition, you’ll learn to work in teams, communicate technical information and understand the impact of engineering solutions on society.

Faculty Perspective

One of the most exciting parts of the engineering curriculum at WSU is the hands-on aspect. Nothing is more fun or exciting than seeing students design and build a project. I enjoy seeing the students solve real-world problems by applying their math and physics courses to develop, characterize and verify solutions.
