Lingofest/Digital Humanities Class
Interested students also have the potential to earn elective credit by signing up for LING 4900 Lingofest/DHU4 (1 credit).
Who can register?
The course is open to current WSU students of all majors, or students from other USHE institutions who may wish to transfer credit to their home institution.
Course Objectives
Students must register for both conferences, attend sessions at one or both, and write one or two papers about the sessions they attend. The course objectives are:
- To become aware of recent advances in voice-recognition technology (VRT)
- To become aware of recent trends in the digital humanities (DH)
- To explore the connections between voice-recognition technology and digital humanities.
Cost
For students enrolled in LING 4900, registration for Lingofest and DHU4 is free. Students should speak with their major advisor to see if this class can count as elective credit in their major.
