Marcia White, MPA, is the Regional Economic Development Planner of the Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC). WFRC is the Economic Development District (EDD) for the Davis, Morgan, Salt Lake, Tooele, Weber, and southern Box Elder Counties of Utah.
A native of Nebraska, Marcia graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering and a Master of Public Administration. She also acquired her paralegal certification from Weber State University and an emerging leadership certificate from MIT.
She is currently in her third term on the Ogden City Council and has worked with the government and legislative process at the local, state, and national levels for several years. Marcia focuses her efforts on creating financial and operational sustainability. She enjoys developing, implementing, and administering strategic plans, policies, and processes, with a motto of moving “silos to systems”.
Marcia has served on several boards with diverse missions and constituents. She is active with the Ogden-Weber Legislative Committee and the Utah League of Cities and Towns. Marcia has been a guest lecturer for higher education programs and has presented her favorite topic, “Leadership Lessons from Zoey,” for various associations. She has published several blogs, articles, and whitepapers.
