The 2023 Human Trafficking Symposium took place in October at Weber State University, featuring Elizabeth Smart, Ronald Book and Laura Book. This event organized to raise awareness and start an ongoing conversation about how to recognize and combat human trafficking, sextortion and abuse. Additionally, and specific to students and parents, this symposium will cover online solicitation, sextortion, changing laws and resources available at Weber State and the surrounding community.
