HIEEs for Students

High Impact Educational Experiences (HIEEs) transform not only your education but also your personal and professional development.

At Weber State University, you will find HIEEs embedded in courses and in co-curricular experiences outside of the classroom. These experiences are marked in the class schedule and on GivePulse, the student engagement platform.

Benefits

Participating in high impact educational experiences (HIEEs) will help you:

  • feel more engaged with peers, faculty and staff at Weber State University;
  • learn, retain, and apply knowledge;
  • complete your degree with experience you can list on your resume; and
  • develop transferable skills [NACE competencies] that you can apply in your personal, academic and professional lives.

Did you know that HIEEs will show up on your transcript too? HIEEs set you apart from your peers because employers and graduate programs will see on your transcript that you have been engaged in learning experiences beyond those that occur only in the classroom.

HIEEs have helped my grow and figure out what I want to do as my profession but also helped me grow as a person and have a good time and meet new people.
