Cloud Storage
What is cloud storage?
Cloud storage allows you to save files on remote servers that are accessed over the internet a.k.a. "the cloud." Cloud storage can be thought of as a sort of online flash drive. There are many services available today that provide cloud access through an internet web browser as well as apps for smartphones and tablets.
Why should I use cloud storage?
There are many reasons why the cloud is becoming the standard for data storage. Here are just a few benefits:
- Files are accessible from anywhere with an internet connection
- Files are accessible from a variety of devices (computers, smartphones, tablets, etc.)
- Files are stored in state-of-the-art data centers which increase security and reduce the risk of data loss
- Sharing file access with others is easy to do
