Wildcat Accounts
All WSU faculty, staff, and students must create a Wildcat username and password in order to access the eWeber portal and other Weber services.
Your Wildcat Account will be used for many things including the eWeber Portal, University Email, Canvas (WSU Online), Wireless Internet, and Computer Labs.
Create Your Account
To create your username for the first time, use the Get Your Wildcat Username page. This will walk you through account setup steps and then assign your Wildcat username to you, which is generally your first and last name (e.g. WaldoWildcat). Usernames are not case-sensitive.
Manage Your Password
To manage your Wildcat password, use Password Self-Service. For more detailed information about managing your password, refer to the Wildcat Passwords page.
DUO Two-Factor Authentication
To keep your WSU account safe, you must set up Duo two-factor authentication. This will require you to approve login requests via your phone or security code to ensure login requests are you. Duo is a free download for WSU students. If you do not sign up for DUO, you will be forced to set it up once you register for classes.
The eWeber portal provides 24-hour access to many Weber State services and is a primary mode of communication between the University and you. For an intro to eWeber, check out the eWeber Portal Guide. You can access eWeber from any device that has an internet connection by going to: www.weber.edu
For mobile devices, check out our Weber State mobile apps.
Every Wildcat Account includes access to a University email address through which you will get official WSU electronic information. University email addresses come in two forms:
Student Wildcat Mail
- Email address: YourUsername@mail.weber.edu
- Landing page: weber.edu/wildcatmail
- Direct access: weber.edu/studentgmail
Faculty/Staff Email
- Email address: YourUsername@weber.edu
- Landing page: gmail.weber.edu
- Direct access: wmail.weber.edu
All University email services are hosted by Google Gmail and include access to other Google services such as Google Calendar to organize your schedule and Google Drive to store your files in the cloud.
Know Your W-Number (W#)
Your W# is a private 8-digit identity number that never changes which Weber State uses to identify you in administrative databases.
Most systems will ask for your Wildcat username although some services, such as Testing Centers, will require your W#.
To find your W#:
- Log in to the eWeber portal at www.weber.edu
- Click your account picture in the upper-right
- Select Show W#
