Pre-Physician Assistant and Pre-Medical

Weber State University provides pre-professional curricula, advising and research experience designed to aid students in preparing for physician assistant (PA) school, medical school and other post-graduate programs.

It’s important to understand there’s no “pre-physician assistant” or "pre-medical" major at any college or university. You select a major in any discipline and include courses that medical and/or PA schools require, such as anatomy and physiology, in your undergraduate studies.

The Dumke College of Health Professions Office of Admissions Advisement advises students interested in physician assistant (PA) school.

PA school is a professional program requiring a bachelor’s degree and specific prerequisites before admission.

Our Pre-PA Canvas page is very helpful for students interested in PA school and we highly recommend joining. Email healthprofessions@weber.edu from your Weber State student email account to join the Canvas page.

Contact one of the following advisors for help with your pre-PA school goals.
