You will learn skills in areas such as: general management, retailing, promotional and advertising management, market research, business strategic management analysis for promotions, sales management and customer relationship management, marketing. You'll also get these hands-on experiences: Gain practical experience by working on important projects for Utah businesses and non-profits and conduct comprehensive research with direct faculty interaction.
Marketing is an incredibly well-rounded career and a typical day will depend on the industry and specialty. Market research experts will spend time conducting and analyzing research and preparing the data for strategists. Strategists will design and implement campaigns and creative experts will execute those campaigns. Most marketing professionals work closely with top executives and sometimes directly with the market. Meeting deadlines are critical. Some may also travel.
