“My education here at the Goddard School of Business and Economics has done more than just introduce me to the skills and concepts that firms will expect of me as a graduate; it has provided me with self-efficacy.”
WHY WEBER STATE?
I was born and raised in Ohio, but enlisted in the Army shortly after graduating high school. I met my wife while I was in the service. She’s from the Ogden area, and we decided to move here after my separation from the army in 2015. I chose WSU because of the location and attractive tuition.
WHY BUSINESS ECONOMICS?
I chose my major because I have a deep appreciation for the work of yesteryears economists. I see the value that they added in our current systems. I’d like to build upon their work, and contribute to a more functional and sustainable future.
INCREDIBLE ACCESS
My education here at the Goddard School of Business and Economics has done more than just introduce me to the skills and concepts that firms will expect of me as a graduate; it has provided me with self-efficacy. The assignments, projects, group projects and research papers have all added to my capabilities and confidence in a very relevant way. There was no single irrelevant class in the whole curriculum. There are so many resources that help you succeed, likr career services. Take them seriously and utilize them. If you wait for your senior year for resume and interview guidance then you will miss out on some solid opportunities.
WHERE ARE YOU NOW?
With the help of Brett Merrell, I was able to land a part-time internship at a financial advisement firm and doing an economics research internship. I was also offered, and accepted, a second internship for a Business Analysist/Project Manager position.
